Welcome to my website. I look forward to sharing with you a life’s journey that I see as a pilgrimage. I consider myself to be very fortunate and blessed in life.
I began this pilgrimage being born in Prince Edward Island, to loving Catholic parents. We were surrounded by a loving extended family that cherishes our faith and culture. It was with this background that I live my life accepting the blessings and challenges of life.
I look forward to sharing with you as a husband, father, grandfather, retired business professional and as by the title of the site; I am a Roman Catholic Permanent Deacon.
In 2017, I find myself at a time of change and reflection. After nearly 40 years in the business world I am now enjoying a sabbatical year. It gives me an excellent opportunity to do a few things.
- A Silent Retreat at Our Lady of Corpus Christi Retreat Center doing the St Ignatius Spiritual Exercises with SOLT (Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity).
- A personal pilgrimage back to the highlights of family and my sacramental history (visiting the parishes where I was baptized and receive first Holy Communion).
- Visiting Shrines in Quebec – St Joseph’s Oratory, Sainte Anne de Beaupre and Our Lady of the Cape (Canada’s National Shrine to Mary).
All of this has been exciting and I look forward to sharing posts and pictures as I reflect on these experiences.
There is more, in August and September the Camino Frances. My Camino includes bookend visits to Lourdes, Fatima and Italy.
I invite you to check out the site regularly. I will blog about life and my reflections and I will update homilies and talks and of course share my experiences on the Camino.
Let us pilgrimage and pray together!
