On Monday, I left Santiago Spain  for Fatima Portugal.  Arrived into Fatima on a beautiful Monday evening.  The sanctuary was beautiful in the evening light.

On Tuesday September 12 – Holy Name of Mary.  The celebration of the apparitions began with several Masses in succession of many languages.  At 9 am I attended the English Mass.  July was last time I attended a Mass in English.  All I can say – nice, I am convinced God’s favourite language is English. LOL!

There were celebrations, liturgies, rosaries, candlelight service, adoration  throughout the day and night.

On Wednesday September 13, it was truly beautiful.  So many people of so many countries and cultures.  It ended with Mass.  A highlight was at the beginning with the entrance procession.  Part of the procession was the statue of Our Lady Of  Fatima.  I was fortunate to be in a position to be within a few feet of the procession and statue.

On Thursday I made my way from Fatima to Lisbon to Rome airport.  A full day of travel, once again experiencing how Europe does things differently ?

Today, September 15, Our Lady of Sorrows – I am spending the day in Fiumicio City.   This is where the Rome airport is and nice little fishing area.  Having a chance to walk around I realized their awareness of faith.  The church on the main street along the river  is dedicated to Mary of the Port, was open and welcoming.  I noticed that  people freely dropped in for a brief moment or more.  A beautiful, peaceful place.  A nice end to a faithfilled week.

Well, tomorrow I will meet up with my lovely wife Joanne at the Rome airport.  We have been apart since August 3rd.  Hard to believe   On September 18th we celebrate our 35 th anniversary.   Here’s to many more!

We look forward to touring Italy and enjoying a bit of a vacation.

I doubt I will post much, if any, until my return home early October.

Please know that I continue to carry your prayer requests and  keep them in my prayers, Masses , etc …  Thank you for your prayers
